CoPilot GPS Navigation App Reviews

It downloads the entire map

With the map on my phone i can navigate offline. Between waze, google maps and others, this app can keep running without internet.

Needs Updating

As an ex Motionx Drive GPS user (no longer providing the app), I was hoping to find something comparable. However I am very disappointed with CoPilot for the following reasons. 1) The maps I use (West Coast and Hawaii) are very outdated. Twice the GPS took me to dead ends and many times the street names do not match the signs. 2) Very confusing on complex transitions. Lanes assist makes it worse in some cases because it does not get you in the correct lane for the next turn. 3) It should show you the next two turns when they are close together. 4) A big feature I thought was suppose to work is showing the speed limit. This is very important when driving in unfamiliar roads. 5) Should show cars speed when on a route like it does when just displaying the map. 6) Every screen should have a map button to jump right back to your route. 7) There should be a list of recently used routes/locations. I can go on and on. Anyway, waisted $10 and going to try Waze again. It does not have all the features I want but at least the maps are current.

Fakey Speed Limit Display

Purchased the 30-day version of the app to try out the speed limit monitoring function. 1st trip was on I-12 to I-59 to I-20 to I-65. Speed limit displayed worked on I-12 even though sections of I-12 were displaying the wrong speed limits,, partially on I-59, but didnt diplay at all on I-20 and I-65. Too bad because it looked like a promising GPS app.

Great app

Ive used several apps including dedicated GPS units. This is by far the most accurate.

Awesome, but just one thing.

Its a great offline map to have! I so recommend it to everyone. The problem for the iPad is that is having trouble reading the location of my device offline. Its ok with the direction mapping, but the location blip is not moving at all.

Useless

This app is horrible! I just paid $8.99 for an app that is completely useless and doesnt do a single thing besides stay frozen on one point of the map. I want my money back!

No re-routing

I use this app for motorcycle navigation but once I miss a turn reroute me and just stays silent. So it is essentially useless for me.

Good offline navigation

I am using on I iPhone6. When I cancel navigation the app crashes each time. Otherwise, I use it as my main GPS navigation due to offline navigation, clear graphics and ease of operation. However voice direction can be deceiving, and if not using screen image, it is easy to miss turns. Also, it doesnt always know all house numbers and leads me to the right street but one to two blocks away from destination. On occasions voice says "keep right" when it should say "keep straight".

Copilot

I love the apps but need to fix the exact address when it arrive just like Google maps.

Only three stars.

For on road navigation, this app gets you there. With onboard maps, Worth the $10 for voice navigation. Functions fine in Cellular dead zones, as long as your GPS is up and running. Off road navigation, forget about it, the app even has problems with parking lots. iOS users with voice navigation: You can stop Copilot from screaming at you through SETTINGS / MUSIC / EQ select: Late Night.

Doesnt need cell data

Good app for when youre out of the country and dont want to use cell data. Just make sure you download the maps first when youre connected to WiFi.

Peace of mind

Back up for offline use is awesome

... Number one moving gps app now

I used another flawless app for over 5 years until that app developer quit and it came off iTunes, so this app moved up to #1 top pick. A very well planned out gps app for RV, motorcycle, car, walks ... And it is Best Gps for the money spent! Thank you.

Great App

Best Gps App Hands Down When Your Phone Service Isnt Even Working

Very unhappy

First trip went well. Second trip, voice stopped even tho I have unlimited voice guide and the GPS did not work correctly. We were going to same place as first trip. I ended up using different GPS.

No GPS

In writing this review I tried different nicknames to post with. "Lost in space, Where am I", just to give an idea of the problems with the app. Both already taken, so the consensus is not good. Tried many different times to use app. When the stars aligned and it could find a satellite, it would not track movement and kept starting directions from beginning. Borrowed a GPS unit and it showed 10 satellites, and CoPilot couldnt link with one out in the open, no trees, buildings, mountains around. Needs much improvement in the app.

Terrible

9 out of 10 times this gps app has failed with wrong directions. I.e. North highway v south, left v right. Its a good thing I can find my way out of my own neighborhood! I give up!!

So far so good

The free version works well...just would be nice if the voice commands would not be for only a "7 day trial"

nice

very good app
